Movember - 5,000 Hairs

Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer. We were invited to donate a piece to a moustache-themed exhibition as part of the launch of Movember in Ireland. 

The average European moustache has a surface area of between 8 and 12 square centimetres, with 500 hairs per square centimetre. We chose to simply represent each hair on an average moustache — the moustache wearer themselves must decide on how they are arranged.
